EDT vs EDP vs Parfum
Concentration labels describe how much perfume oil is dissolved in alcohol. From lightest to strongest, the usual labels are: eau de cologne (EDC), eau de toilette (EDT), eau de parfum (EDP), parfum, and extrait de parfum. Exact percentages are not regulated and vary by house.
Why EDP is not always "stronger"
Brands often reformulate the EDP or parfum version with different notes, so the EDT and EDP of the same name can smell quite different. Owners on Reddit regularly prefer one version over the other for the scent, not just the strength.
How we handle versions
We group a fragrance's core EDT/EDP/parfum versions where owners discuss them interchangeably (for example, Dior Sauvage) and track clearly different flankers (Sauvage Elixir, Le Male Elixir, Stronger With You Intensely) separately. When a comment names a flanker we do not track, we leave it out rather than credit the base fragrance.
