I only got a 1 mL sample because I didn't think I'd like it. I haven't had the best luck with Quentin Bish (aside from Cedrus, which I love.) I'm only wearing it on my left arm. In a few hours, I'll spray Valaya Exclusif on my right arm so that I can test them side-by-side. Valaya Exclusif is much softer so I prefer it over the OG. I love the added almond note! I adore Fleur de Peau, it's my bedtime scent! It's very soft but lasts on my skin. I blind bought Fine'ry I'm a Musk since it was so cheap and all I could smell was pickles!”

2/5 Value“I've tested samples of Valaya, Althaïr, Delina Exclusif, Orina and Safanad. Althaïr is a winner for me but I can't justify the price. I bought samples of dupes for all the above mentioned samples and a couple of them are 1:1 clones. Even the ones that are not clones smell similar enough, so why would I pay almost 300€ for 75ml when I can buy a dupe for less than 20€? I have spent large amounts of money on perfume but Parfums de Marly, to me, is not good enough for the price. And unfortunately in my skin I get three hours at best.”

5/5 Everyday“I think people put too much pressure on the idea of a signature scent. If u hv spent weeks testing perfumes and keep coming back to Valaya then that's probably your answer. Don't worry about whether it's perfect for every season or occasion. If it makes you feel confident and like yourself, you'll naturally reach for it. The only thing I'd suggest is getting a decant or wearing it for a few full days before buying a full bottle just in case.”

It was going to be my signature and just the love of my fragrance life. When I tested the sample, I was taken aback to find I'm one of the few people who it smells like black pepper on in the dry down. I'm so sad because I love the opening and it lasts forever. It has all the makings of being my year round signature scent, but the search for the perfect signature continues!”

5/5“Delina La Rosee. I got a PFM sample set this week to see what the hype was about mainly, I only expected to love Valaya. I ended up hating most of them, except for the exclusif's and Delina La Rosee. I'm typically not a rose person but this one is so refreshing and bright and doesn't have the typical powdery or “perfumey” notes that usually come with rose scents.”

Now anything with that white woods note (recently bought the Nest Santa Barbara Strawberry Mist and it's solar woods is the same note) is instantly trash for me. I'm sad about my new body mist because I loved the oil. ”

It just becomes overpowering at a certain point whereas I have 3 Diptyque fragrances in FB. The performance of them isn't as good but I'm fine with respraying and I truly love them all even though they're quite different.”

I can't get enough of both versions of Valaya, however; but I think it's because my nose really goes for white florals and aldehydes. I definitely think you should get like a 5 ml decant of each to see what works for you. Valaya can be polarizing and lean too synthetic for some people—I actually hated Valaya, at first— but I think it's so pretty and light with amazing silage and projection!”
