What Reddit owners say

“Mod Vanilla - I LOVED this fragrance, I repurchased it three times which I can't say for any other perfume I own but my nose has clearly changed because now it smells synthetic and slightly cloying to me, and I'm struggling to use this bottle up. Also Do Son EDT 😭 I thought it was so gorgeous and elegant when I sampled it, got a full sized bottle and it's not bad per se but I really don't like it the way I once thought I did. I hardly ever reach for it despite trying to use it up and it's very meh to me :(”

“I have not sampled anything from PDM. Diptyque perfumes are so beautifully well blended and creative. I love that each one has a story behind it. But they aren't going to be powerhouse fragrances. I personally prefer the closeness, but some people want a louder scent. I have Eau Des Sens, and it's magical. The longevity is decent. I can get up to 6 hours spraying skin and clothes. I also am saving to buy Do Son, and the sample I have of it currently lasts about the same! Hope this helps!”

“This is a great collection!! What are your personal Top 3 from it? Ive been interested in perfume since about 2019 - for me it adds structure and meaning to my day - I wake up and do my morning hygiene routine, then I spend a bit of time thinking about “how I feel/how I *want* to feel/how the weather is” so that I can decide what perfume I'll wear for the day. Then I can spend the rest of the day smelling it, and it helps to make me feel like I have my own little “cocoon” scent bubble My top 3 are : Mon Guerlain, Terracotta by Guerlain, and Do Son EdP”

“my gosh... Do Son EDT by Diptyque. i sprayed it on, scrubbed it off 15mins later yet it lingered for so long in my nostrils that it ruined my weekend. laid on the couch nauseous and sad”

“For florals, I adore **Do Son by Diptyque**. It's a bright, green, crystal tuberose, with jasmine and a hint of orange blossom. It's absolutely beautiful if you like that type of scent. Expensive AF, I have a travel size like all Diptique I own, but it lasts and smells amazing. Idk what your relationship with mineral scents is, but I tried **Ikebana Indigo by Kenzo** and holy shit. It's a very dark, mineral fragrance with vanilla, iris, and ink. It's kind of the summer equivalent of Supreme Vanilla by Zara, if you've tried it (a favourite of mine, such a niche banger from Zara).”

“I'm torn between Diptyque Do Son and Heretic Nosferatu 🤧 I got a Heretic discovery set and planned to start sampling it today, BUT I lowkey hated Nosferatu on a paper strip, and I also have a small but important meeting later (nothing overly official, but I don't want to show up stinky lol). I still want to give it a proper shot, but maybe I should play it safe today… or maybe I'm being dramatic since their stuff lasts 3 hours max anyway 🫢”

“Diptyque Do Son EDT I purchased the Do Son EDT before the EDP, and I can't quite recall why anymore—perhaps I was the size. I've grown to hate the marine-ish note in this and prefer the headier EDP. I'm down to the very bottom, and I told myself last year I would finish this… alas, here we are, but perhaps I'll power through this in the next few weeks.”

“I love Tuberose. My favorite would probably be Do Son, but that could also be that i like that fragrance house. I only wish it lasted longer on my skin, but I think it does a pretty good job on my clothes.”

“I had an intense fresh tuberose phase where I had 4 different Gucci blooms plus a travel spray of Do Son EDP. When I got a sample of that one I regretted all the tuberose backlog because this is my favourite.”

5/5 Summer

“I own Eau des Sens (perfect orange scent for summer and hot weather and, in my opinion, very underrated) and Phylosikos. Both are great for the mediterranean weather and I think they evoke summer in a great way. I also really enjoy Orpheon and Do Son, can't wait to purchase them!”

5/5 Everyday

“I absolutely love diptique. I have do son edt, eau rose edt and edp and my signature fleur de peau. On me they last anywhere between 6-8 hours. Would pick diptique any day over designer fragrances. Even byredo fragrances I love but they don't last long at least the ones I have.”

“For example, I have many tuberose perfumes like Guerlain Joyeuse Tubéreuse EDP, Diptyque Do Son EDT, and Gucci Bloom EDP. They're all similar because of the tuberose forward scent, but they also all have something slightly different about them that I appreciate.”

“Shocked to have purchased and use regularly Diptyque's Do Son EDT. I'm not a floral person, cannot stand most tuberose scents, and yet I am making a dent in my full bottle.”

“Sometimes, very rarely but sometimes, Costco has these guys on sale. I got a 3.4oz of Do Son for $139, and I think at that time it was at least $190 everywhere else.”

“I bought a Diptyque EDT discovery set and have been enjoying Do Son today. Last night I went to a gala for the nonprofit I work for and wore the Eau des Sens and it was surprisingly long lasting for a citrus EDT. Could still smell it at the end of the night.”
