Just because XYZ is a popular fragrance, it doesn't mean that the same will work for your skin. Sometimes purchasing high end perfumes has a sentimental value attached to it: For instance, I bought BR 540 last year - and this was after almost 5 years of working. I wear it only for special occasions, but it rarely ever gets me a compliment - I wear this only for myself, to feel proud of how far I have come.”

I agree with you, it's definitely one that gets a lot of harsh reviews and that seems to be ever present online but I actually don't often smell it on people, and if I do it's pretty subtle. I think one of the things that may be happening with br540 is the wearer becomes nose blind so they overspray it, meanwhile other people are getting hit with a baccarat tsunami when they walk by and it's making some people resent the fragrance.”

A few sales reps told me the maximum of perfumes that you can stalk is 6 with each 6 sprays. They didn't recommend more. Brands like MFK do not recommend scent layering. I got this from multiple reps from different stores. But A sale rep from Saks layered Baccarat Rouge 540 Extrait de parfum with Aqua Celestia Cologne forte. OMG that's heaven and it hurt my account. You wouldn't know unless you try it.”

They also make fancy decanters for wine and other things. Most perfumes, even with rarer natural ingredients, cost under ten dollars per bottle to make, for the juice at least. Bottle price varies. And I'm also not accounting for the labor involved. Semi related, I really like the saffron accord in 12:00 by NOYZ. A lot of their scents don't do it for me but that one has a choke hold on me.”

Don't trust anyone except your nose. Go to the perfumey shop and try it, not just once, few times, ask for sample and try it again. Ignore the hype and influencers marketing when they say "compliment getter, long lasting, huge aura" and other stupid stuff.
