What Reddit owners say

3/5 SummerWinter

“I have found recently that as the weather where I live warms up, my nose changes. Things I loved in the winter I no longer enjoy as much, and things I couldn't stand in winter I'm now enjoying. Temperature and humidity can make a huge difference in how noses perceive scent. This was the case for me with Jean-Paul Gaultier's Le beau le parfum. I bought it back in March after sampling it in February and thinking it would be a great spring and summer scent. The first time I wore it in high heat, the powdery notes were so heavy and sickening that I probably will try and sell or trade it.”

“Not always. I tried le Beau le parfum back when it was new, lasted 3-4 days. I shower twice a day and each shower I was scrubbing my arm til it was pink. Somehow the traces of the disgusting base were still there.”

“i've had my eye on it since it came out. i have most of the JPG's and i'm honestly not a huge fan on any of them. the elixir was probably my favorite. le beau le parfum is pretty good too. i picked this up at the airport in dominican republic for only $110 for a 4.2oz and, agree with you completely, instantly my favorite JPG! longevity is above average and big compliment getter! enjoy!”

“Le Beau Le Parfum is one of my favorites, nice start but don't move too fast, I made the mistake of speed buying when I started collecting and ended up not liking half my collection after a while”

“Surprised to see JPG Le Beau Le Parfum and Valentino Coral Fantasy break the top 10 with all the neat stuff you've got going on in there. I guess you probably answered in terms of "what do I reach for"? Maybe let me reframe the question then, what's your top 5 or 10 in terms of "this is an incredibly good smell"?”

5/5 Summer

“I own Le Beau Le Parfum and while I really love the scent, I have a hard time wearing it because the temperature has to be just right. It's too much for the super hot summer days.”

“damn that's one hell of an advice. i love doing my own research. most of the times i look for fragrances online (tiktok or here) and then i go smell them in person to see whether i like them or no. i discovered i love sweet fragrances, thats why jpg le beau le parfum is my top priority right now. i just love this scent profile. i havent really done my research for winter tho, but i believe its not a big deal since its like half a year till i would wear any winter ish perfume. thank you 😄”

“Yeah, so 1 bottle just popped up at my Ross again and I tested it on skin and it definitely reminds me of Jean Paul Gaultier Le Beau Le Parfum (not the EDT). I already have another clone of Le Beau Le Parfum, so there's no need for me to get this one, but it definitely smells good and I'd recommend it.”

“Keep in mind it's the older version of LBLP that is such a winner, the newer version that's red on top isn't the same as the older version.”

“And lastly jpg le beau le parfum is beautiful and works great for spring, winter, and summer as long as the temperature is not too high because it can be a little sweet and cloying in high heat. Those I listed are some of the fragrances I own and I absolutely love them.”

“But I have jpg le beau le parfum, lataffa asad, 9pm, liquid brun, qaed al fursan untamed, azzaro edp intense, afnan supremacy collectors edition, hawas og, ice, fire, and tropical. I was hoping to go for a more expensive fragrance because it is a special event.”

“I had LBLP on one arm and Paradise Garden on the other, and it seemed that LP fainted quickly. I bought LP after a few tries because the green notes on PG don't suit me well.”

“I just compared both and i must say KI is weaker. Def weaker on projection and sillage. Longevity i have yet to see but so far, if you want a daily driver for summer nights. You can get away with using KI. LBLP still holds strong in this regard”
