What Reddit owners say

“People often underestimate how strong their perfume really is. I used to wear 3 sprays of Sauvage EDP daily and I thought it was a nice, inoffensive freshie until one day my girlfriend pointed out that my perfume filled up the entire bus.”

“My best example: Sauvage EDP, when I bought it it was expensive asf and I was delussional with a "bad" performance, social media didn't help so much so I keep it in my closet for almost 1 yr.”

“I have worn 'Sauvage EDP' in the past but allegedly it gave at least one co-worker a headache. Since there was no way her consumption of wine every evening could be the reason so they had to be from the Sauvage. 😄”

5/5 Fresh & cleanBatches & reformulation

“My signature scent and the best designer fragrance. I think it's a must-have in every man's collection. It took the legendary but overused sauvage dna to an amazing level. Very masculine, with a density that is almost fresh, and that warmth in the drydown... truly gorgeous. I suspect there might be performance issues in the newer batches, especially after the extrait version came out.”

“I spent an hour in Ulta testing ALL of the colognes. Had a few picked out that I thought I liked. Then I hit the Sauvage section that I didn't plan on stopping at because I already wear the EDT on a daily. When I smelled the elixir it immediately erased any thought of liking the other colognes. I had to have it. I bought it, and I love it. I don't care if I smell like a woman's last 2 exes, I'm married anyways. 😂”

“Yes. I have consideration for other people and realize that many people are sensitive to smells/fragrances. I try not to put my petty ass (yes fragrance is petty as FUCK) preferences above the comfort (or in some cases, health) of others. Some jackasses (seemingly you) think they are a special snowflake and everyone on earth should enjoy 8 sprays of Sauvage they didn't agree too. People literally have to BREATHE in this world and and I try not to be a prick by making that intentionally difficult when I go out in public. Get bent stank ass”

“I adore Frostbite. It's such a unique twist with the blueberries and mango, that it's barely 60% Sauvage. Problem is the below average performance, and average quality. If I pay $45, I expect both these metrics to be top notch. My decant of Spectrum Chill lasted 10 hours on my skin... But projected well for only 30 minutes or so. Was a skin scent after about 2 hours only. It's also a very substantial twist on the DNA.”

“I actually wore it today. Opens up with a very nice Oud then dries down and smells pretty much like your typical Sauvage. If it kept the Oud for the entire wearing experience I'd definitely buy it but unfortunately I only smell it in the opening. It is very strong. I was scrubbing the hell out of my hand till it turned red in the shower today and I could still faintly smell it when I got out lol.”

“Anything that smells like eau Sauvage, men's cologne, after shave, deodorant, ambroxen are basically any base note that is added for long-lasting in women's perfumes as well. As a result I've had the resort to body sprays with very little lasting power but I love coconuts and sweet vanilla. I had tried some of the gourmand sweet sense from Snif and the top notes were just fine and kind of fun and the day after the dry down on my sweater was the love masculine super old man heavy duty aftershave smell that took three washes and heavily spraying it with body spray to get rid of.”

“Sauvage , has a sweetness to it. And then mildly masculine. They call it ambroxan. I have no idea how to describe that to you, but it's familiar in some mens colognes . I didn't love sauvage at 1st now I can't get enough. I bought 2 clones. They smell great , and really similar..but don't last as long.”

“I have never liked Sauvage. But smell the real thing if you are going to criticize it, not a clone. And if you don't like it, don't buy it. Obviously there are millions of people who like the smell or it wouldn't be one of the best selling fragrances in the world.”

“I didn't like 9pm tbh, too sweet and feels like you're a vanilla icecream, though it's performance is long like really long, as for sauvage I've used it's clone so it's so strong like a room diffuser to i don't think I'll like the original as well even if the clones are 60% similar hawas i could say good smell but nothing special, but ICE is what i loved the most my mood was really good whenever i put ice and perfomance is top notch”
