“Oohh! She liked young perfumes! She also wore J'Adore and Pleasures but Michael was her favorite. I wore Lolita Lempicka and Baby Doll in those years 😄 I keep forgetting early 2000s was not 10 years ago!”

“J'adore dries down to this horrible metallic almost-blood smell on my skin. I have to scrub it off; shame because it opens beautifully There was an Adrienne Vitrtadini fragrance I was obsessed with in the late 90s. I worked at a department store and would sample it regularly. On paper it was heavenly - on me, dead dried leaves. I'm still bitter about that one lol”

5/5 Fresh & cleanSummer

“Clean and Cozy is one of my favorite vibes with perfume!! I love this category, but clean and cozy to me runs more on the vetiver, green, citrus, dash of floral, and/or a woody dry down! These are some of my faves! Dior J'adore D'eau Commodity Rain GoodHabit Align PHLUR Father Figure JHAG Ex Vetiver Armani Auqua di Gioia (I have put such a huge dent in this one this summer!!) “Dior J'adore worn by my coworker and Carolina Herrera 212 worn by a girl at concert. Memorable because they smell bad on me 😂. And I am shooketh when I find out how good it smells on them.”

5/5 Longevity

“I bought Allure EDP recently and I love the scent, but it doesn't last as long as I hoped! (I'd say it lasts about 3-4 hours on me.) I don't mind reapplying, but that was kind of unexpected. If you want to stick to Chanel perfumes, Gabrielle Essence might work for you. Also, have you tried anything from Dior? J'Adore and Pure Poison are very feminine and last forever on my skin and clothes!”

5/5 ProjectionSweetness

“Most Dior perfumes like J'Adore, Miss Dior and its flankers, Hypnotic Poison, Joy etc sadly turn sickeningly sweet and LOUD on my skin. I love their compositions and they all smell amazing on paper strips, but never work on me 😭 Oddly enough, Dune and Dolce Vita were my go-to scents in my youth and they never felt this way.”

2/5 Sweetness

“I have miss feelings about Kurkdjian I think his miss Dior releases are better than Demachy, but I really I'm not a fan of the two j'adore he released. Too sweet.”

4/5 EverydayFormal

“That's my signature scent! It was a gift from my great grandfather to my grandmother, and ever since, my grandmother has purchased me bottles of J'adore. I wear it for EVERY special occasion- holidays, interviews, anniversaries. Anything that screams special occasion, that's what I wear. It's going to be my wedding day scent as well next month.”

5/5 LongevitySweetness

“Not entirely up your alley, but I have really been enjoying Dior J'Adore (clean and soft - almost smells like a subtle skincare scent to me, in the best way), Ralph Lauren Beyond Romance (soft and romantic, not strong, but lingers), and Coach Wild Rose (soft, sweet, rose with great longevity).”

4/5 Unique

“So instead of going with the notes I go with the perfumers (like I said above, Kurkdjian's Dior J'adore, MFK, or Green Tea doesn't turn sweaty or like genitals on me), or Byredo (I like Blanche and Bibliotheque, the latter smells unique but I can appreciate it because doesn't turn sweaty).”

4/5 Winter

“It is! My collection really doesn't do her justice 😭. But in winter I really like Dior - j'adore d'eau (the white milky one). It makes me feel like a rich snow fairy 🧚”

5/5 Value

“I have a few that I really love and that last, J'adore by Dior, Delina La Rosee by Parfums de Marly (this one is pricey, I believe it's $410 for 75ml in department stores) and Loubiluna by Christian Louboutin which is another pricey one. There's a bunch more I really like but those are my top 3.”

“I have a bottle of J'Adore l'Absolu that came out in 2007. I think my dad got it for me? I used to wear it every once in a while when I was younger, back when I knew very little about perfume. A few years ago I got into the hobby and when I reached for it again I noticed it has aged quite a bit and became a lot stronger. Sadly, it no longer fits my taste and so I dont reach for it anymore. Now my half full bottle just sits there and looks pretty 😂”
