“It was also an impossible scrubber so eventually I sprayed Cool Water (women) over the remnants and was pretty content with that result for a while.”

“I have used both many times and actually prefer Cool Water to Voyage. The CW dry down is just too good and it's amazing during hot humid summers. Funny thing is I didn't like CW at all when I first tried it but it really grew on me over time”

“I went twelve rounds with Francesca Bianchi The Mariner's Rhyme a couple days ago so I'm going to say that. It's about the closest a marine has ever come to an instant love for me. It's also a very "sea fog on a rocky, mossy coast" vibe and I just wasn't feeling it for a hot, humid, sunny day. Tried to wash it off and that thing survived body oil and dish soap, sandalwood soap, and pine tar soap then proceeded to outlast the Cool Water I sprayed on it after I accepted defeat. It's like Megamare's soft-spoken cousin lol”

“I consider anything with citrus opening and lavender or rosemary heart with some woody base a barbershop scent, but that is not the rule, i consider any old school fragrance a barbershop scent, I consider your devidoff cool water a barbersh”

“Elizabeth Arden Green Tea is crisp and subtle. Davidoff Cool Water is another lovely freshie. I've tried a couple rollerballs from Skylar, and they seem to wear close to the skin. (I know you mentioned not liking floral notes, but Peach Fields is beautiful- it didn't read very floral to me) Also, Kuumba Made perfume oils smell beautiful but aren't overpowering.”

“Love spell was my main one. Along with the bbw scents like cucumber melon, etc . I bought love spell a few years ago and I just can't use it anymore so it's just sitting there . I should probably declutter but it's so nostalgic. I also wore Tommy girl, romance, cool water.”

“I think this is a great fragrance. Not a linear scent and has some interesting notes, great bang for buck, but there are dozens of other fragrances I would prefer for the same purpose. It's just not for me. I would use it as a "just a couple of sprays after the shower to feel good while walking around the house or going to get groceries", but for that I would rather buy a 200ml bottle of Cool Water for 30 bucks. I got that after trying it at an airport's duty free. Simple as that. I will never blind buy.”

“I feel it's like cool water, highly depends on the batch. I have has 2 bottles of voyage, mostly used them as weekend frag when id not go out a lot. They'd last 3-4 hours with 1 hour of projection. I recently got my 3rd bottle and trust me it's nuclear, last the 6-8 hours and a solid 3+ hours of projection which is insane for voyage.”

“I don't use kaaf a lot but it's a good fragrance. Cool water is a no brainer but doesn't last long. I was checking out at a hotel and the receptionist chased me out while I was waiting for the cab to ask what perfume was I wearing, I had cool water on. It's a nice smelling fragrance but you can also find a lot of people wearing it and does not last more than 4 hours for me”

“I always tell people when I wear my 400+ dollar fragrances I never get compliments only from my fragrance bro friends and co worker. When I wear a tj maxx bargain bin 20-40 dollar fragrance I get so many compliments it blows my mind because to me it smells generic and cheap. FYI cool water sage and grapefruit is a compliment beast in hot weather , especially when layered with a strong blue scent.”

“To be fair, I started with indies, specifically BPAL, because when I started buying my own fragrances, mainstream, easy-to-access frags were all gendered in their marketing and I *hated it* (I remember asking one holiday for Davidoff Cool Water, not realizing there was a women's version, and I got the perfume/edp instead of the cologne/edt & proceeded to never ever wear it). Plus almost none of them that I had access to at the time had interesting notes.”

3/5 Synthetic / harsh

“I tried it about a week ago, next to Cool Water, Tres Nuit, and of course the last of my decant of GIT. Cool Water leans more into the aquatic side, but it doesn't have any of the citrus, which left it falling flat and synthetic for me. And Tres Nuit was good, but it went the opposite direction of CW and more into a slightly spicy and powdery vibe.”

“It's such a mediocre cologne though. OK it smells nice, for 10-20 minutes and then it's gone. Sure the older bottles might have been better and more memorable, but in 2026 cool water is perfectly described as ordinary. I don't dislike wearing it but I don't find it very soul energising myself.”

“Cool water was my starter when I was like 8. Lol I saw my dad using aftershave and I loves the smell so he got me some. I did not understand it. Then in 11th grade I got Honor by Express back when Express was cool and full of colorful dress shirts and sick af button clip flannel. I still have a tiny bit of Honor left 16yrs later but Idk if it's still made or can be found so I save it.”

“But for a daily cheap but still can perform really well then i gotta go with the OG davidoff cool water. Also there is the Hot water which is a really good counterpart for it to switch on alternate days really kind on the pocket. Also another good one is the cool water reborn. https://preview.redd.it/h0lv0iw2g0uh1.jpeg?width=5712&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=a5f5e072085fe2bdba10ad8158d120b0d6814221”

“White Musk was my go-to in junior high. I loved Cool Water in high school. The years that followed I didn't really wear much, but now, 20 years later, my go to is Giulietta by Tocca. I'll wear Curious by Britney Spears when I need a pick-me-up, and Moroccan Oil's hair and body mist when I want to feel fancy.”

“I've never had problems with Cool Water's performance. Are you sure it's not noseblindness? My biggest issue is that enjoy it, but it's clearly dated. It brings me right back to high school, but I have to be in the mood for that, compared to a lot of my other fragrances.”
